Our pickles are fermented, not cooked or pressurized. What does that mean for you (and us)?

1. For starters, fermented foods are foods that have been through a process  in which natural bacteria feed on the sugar and starch in the food creating lactic acid. This process preserves the food, and creates beneficial enzymes, b-vitamins, Omega-3 fatty acids, and various strains of probiotics.

2. It means that our pickles are good for you! Fermented pickles have been shown to reduce infection, headaches, stomachaches, anxiety, and cure the hiccups!

3. It REALLY REALLY means you should ALWAYS refrigerate our pickles, to keep the good bacteria thriving and the bad stuff OUT.  (We are happy to show you what happens when you keep our pickles in the pantry – the bacteria literally boils – ew! ALWAYS refrigerate!)

How spicy are they really?

Our levels 0 and 1 are popular with regular people, our level 2s are a great baseline for people who tend to drench their tacos with sauce, our level 3s are for people who think Tapatio is stupid, and level four is for…the bosses. Think our Level 4 is too tame? We have a Level X, and you should call your OWN mom, and tell her goodbye first before you eat them. 

Are these really the best pickles I’ll ever try?

We think so! Give them a whirl. With a 96% percent “best pickle ever” review rating, it’s hard not to be confident.  They are handcrafted, in an FDA approved kitchen, made with care, and all ingredients are locally sourced – hence their hefty (as of now) price. We really do plan to retail them soon so they are more affordable, but we make sure you do get your money’s worth with max pickles, max juice, max health benefits.
